Marine Rescue Jurien Bay is holding an Easter Raffle, as a fundraiser, to be drawn on Easter Sunday, 17 April 2022
Our Group has come a long way from our humble beginnings starting with the fishing vessel “Kiama” in 1983-1985 then operating from Jim and Betty Earnshaw’s residence. In 2001 we moved into our new two-story building, followed by further additions, in 2015, which included a training room, radio room and toilets, all of which are wheel chair accessible. We operate 24/7 with our awesome group of Volunteers providing radio operations, safety warnings and rescue recoveries, to our boating community, visitors and vessels travelling along our coastline. We cover the area from Greenhead to Grey.
We are seeking donations, of any value, to support our raffle. We are aiming to raise sufficient funds to be used for the on-going expenses associated with the installation of our new pontoon/jetty, which will be located close to our building, thus providing our boating community with a more functional and efficient service. If you are able to assist, we would appreciate any donations to be received by Monday, 11 April 2022 or earlier.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Shane at Seasport Tackle Jurien Bay for his very generous donation of $500 to our fundraiser for our new jetty development to be installed adjacent to our Rescue Tower - Thanks Shane - AWESOME! The donation was made directly to our bank, so is not reflected in the fundraiser tally.
Thanks also to our other contributors, Shaun W, Jay B, Kellie V, Gaynor A, Raelene N and Douglas B for the $420 raised so far in our fundraiser - your generous donations are very much appreciated by all of us at Marine Rescue Jurien Bay - Thank you!
We are also grateful to those new boating members since January who overpaid their membership fees, and then kindly donated the $20-$25 overpayment amounts to our Group, instead of receiving a refund - such a wonderful group of people we have - Thank you! The total amount donated from this is $180!
We still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $20,000, so any donations big or small would be very much appreciated by our Group. Donations can be made through our Facebook Fundraiser, directly into our bank account at Bendigo Bank, through our website https://www.jurienmarinerescue.com.au/support-us or in person at our Rescue Tower (cash or cheque only). Any questions - please phone our Treasurer, Carla, on 0429 101 838 – thank you everyone! All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. Please contact us on 9652 1950 if you need a receipt for tax purposes.
