Late April and May updates

Marine Rescue Jurien Bay has continued to be busy during late April and the first week of May. The following are a few updates of our activities:

APRIL:

24        Marine VHF Radio Course held at our tower with Ali Bates, Scott Vince and Chris Ams attending. Dolly Lucas conducted the course with Chrissy Heu in attendance as Invigilator.  All participants passed.

28        “Ocean Watch” taken to Geraldton with Mike, Chris and Scott onboard.   Sharon Foale escorted them back with the RAM.

28        We also farewelled our Deputy Commander Kym's Mum, Judy, and there wasn't a dry eye in the chapel. It was an awesome afternoon.

MAY:

04        A huge thank you to Scott and Chris for getting wet and dirty scrubbing our air berth!!  Well done!

Our Group would like to farewell Graham Latter, a dedicated crew member who always assisted even when we were stood down, after sacrificing his own work obligations.   A huge thank you Graham for your commitment. Best wishes to you, Gina and family.  You will be missed!!
