Our Fundraising total is climbing!!

Our fundraising total is continuing to climb!!! As at 4 August 2022 it is now at $21,330! A HUGE THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO HAS DONATED TO OUR FUNDRAISING APPEAL! There are a few donors who have left no contact details with their donations - if you haven't yet received a tax-deductible receipt and would like one - please phone Carla on 0429 101 838 with your details - many thanks. The costs to complete our infrastructure projects are actually much higher than the $20,000 target we initially set - so if you would still like to donate, your donation would be most welcome and appreciated!

All donations are tax deductible and can be made directly to our bank account:-

Name: JURIEN BAY VOL MARINE RESCUE GROUP

BSB: 633000

Account number: 130529498

(Donations are FEE FREE using this, so we receive every cent that you give!) or in person at our Rescue Tower, 34 Breakwater Drive, Jurien Bay.

A MASSIVE "THANK YOU" to those AWESOME BOAT MEMBERS of our Group who have heeded our appeal for donations towards completing our new jetty, and for the construction of a new shed to house and keep our new Rescue 2 Vessel “Bay Watch” (and her crews) safe from the elements. You are all amazing and we are all so grateful for your generosity. So far we have received $4850 in donations just from our members, as an extra payment when making their membership renewal payments. "Thank You - Thank You - THANK YOU!!!"

Our jetty is one step closer to becoming operational with the ramp now in place allowing us to finally access the jetty from land. There is still much to do with getting the concreting, pathways, power, lights, water, fencing and security organised, but it is taking shape!

Our Group would like to acknowledge the amazing efforts that all the emergency services gave while searching by air, land and sea for Ian Gray, who went missing after failing to return from a fishing trip in Greenhead on Sunday, 24 July. Over the three-day search, Leeman VMR deployed “Abbey Lee”, along with our R1 “Crikey” and R2 “Bay Watch” and the Fisheries vessel PV Lesueur It was a massive effort by everyone and all involved gave 110%. A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. Our thoughts are with Ian’s Family and loved ones.
